Head of internal audit of Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic
He is a graduate of the University of Economics in Prague, majoring in business economics and management.
In 2003, he joined the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MLSA) as an internal auditor responsible for the management and implementation of internal audits, ongoing evaluation of the internal control system and methodical management of internal audit procedures.
In 2007–2019, he dealt with the audit activities of European funds, both within the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and, since 2013, within the Ministry of Finance in the Audit Authority.
Since 2019, he has been the head of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Finance. Acts as a guarantor for the official examination of the field of civil service 3. Audit. He has been a member of the CIIA since 2004 and has held an international certificate for the CIA’s internal auditors since 2006. He has been a member of the CIIA Council since 2010, where he also serves as vice president of this Institute.
Since 2012, he has been the Chairman of the Committee of the ČIIA Public Administration Section. He is actively working as a ČIIA lecturer, especially attestation courses included in the National Qualification Program for Education and Certification of Internal Audit in Public Administration with a focus on conducting audits of structural funds, internal audit and quality assurance of internal audit in public administration, including Anti-fraud Academy. He also participates in the preparation and organization of annual workshops for public administration, certification of internal auditors in public administration and publishing activities in the field of internal audit.
